Lie To Me - Character Description





Yoo So Ran/Hong Soo Hyun

Ah Jung's highschool classmate.
In short, she is Ah Jung's sworn enemy who acts like a friend.
She became Ah Jung's friend because she Ah Jung's shortcomings would make
her look better, but when Ah Jung's ends up more successful,
she secretly marries Ah Jung's first love, Jae Bum.

Chun Jae Bum/ Ryu Seong Soo

A lawyer.
He is a protege of Ah Jung's father. He was a successful lawyer who was
Ah Jung's partner during the days of civil service (law) examination candidate.
He is Ah Jung's crush, first love and the only love up to this time.
He ends up falling in love Ah Jung upon seeing her again after being apart for a long time.

Gong Jun ho/ Kang Shin II

Ah Jung's father.
He is a professor of a law but far from being a successful and economically well-off.
He is a timid and conscientious, flat and inattentive personality.
He had considered marrying Ae Kyung after her wife's death but
only remained friends with her after 20 years because Ah Jung strongly against the marriage.

Shim Ae Kyung/Lee Kyung Jin

Although she gave up marrying Jun ho because of Ah Jung's objection.
She is a perfect friend of his for the past 20 years.
While the matured Ah Jung gives her consent for the marriage. She wavers in
the midst of Suk Bong's intense courtship.

Hwang Suk Bong/Kwon Hae Hyo

He is a unique person who entered an art university to study in his
mid-30s becoming a classmate of Sang Hee and Yoon Joo.
While he is a poor and unknown artist, his passion for drawing
is unsurpassed. He wrote at Ae Kyung's cafe at night and draws during the day
and he is courting Ae Kyung.


Hyun Myung Jin/Oh Mi Hee

Ki Joon and Sang Hee's auntie and the Chairwoman of World Group.
As one of the top female executives in Korea, she leaves the hands-on duties of the company
but maintain a dominant influence over the Board of Directors.
She raised the brothers, Ki Joon and Sang Hee, after her younger
brother and his wife's fatal accident. She loves the brothers dearly as she
has no children of her own.

Park Hoon/Kwon Se In

Ki Joon's secretary.
He has a faithful and earnest personality.
He mistakenly thinks of himself as Ki Joon's right-hand man,
with burning passion towards his sense of duty but such overwhelming sense
of duty tires Ki Joon at times.

Manager Park/Park Ji Yoon
Ki Joon's friend and manager of the hotel.
She is an intelligent woman who is calm and sure under any situation.
She is the definition of ' Gold Miss.' She is someone Ki Joon trusts the most
within the hotel, but also someone he feels uncomfortable with at times.
She is Ki Joon's highschool classmate.

Rae Yeon/ Kang Rae Yeon

She is the only married of the trio.
She unknowingly believe that she is So Ran's rival. While she thinks
that she is prettier than So Ran and has a better family and husband,
this only her thoughts and no one else acknowledges her belief.

Ji Eun/Song Ji Eun

She sometimes misses the trio's meeting because she has a fiance and she
has to go over to his house. Although she hangs out with So Ran's friends she
unknowingly supports Ah Jung. She was fat before but now thin, so her top interest is dieting.

Bo Yeon/Kim Bo Yeon

She is a dense girl who passionately goes around on blind dates.
Her lack of wit often causes So Ran to become upset.
Kim Yeon Nim/Jang Woo Yang

A superwoman who has a career while raising two kids.
She is a faithful, warm and wise woman. She finds
out about Ah Jung's marriage lie later and while she worries
about how to solve the situation, she is a bit envious of Ah Jung.

Kyu Jin/Kim Kyu Jin

He follows around Ah Jung and Yeon Nim as if he is a chick that just
hatched from its egg. As someone who is a black belt in wits, he has agently
technique in getting away without working hard. His wits allows him to become the
first person about Ah Jung's lies.

Section Chef Ahn/Ah Jung Hoon

As a narrow-minded person with a capable subordinate, he is always with dissatisfied with everything Ah Jung does.

Hyo Joon/Park Hyon Joon

He is the mood-maker of the Ministry of Culture, Sports
and Tourism and has a perfect compatibility with Kyu Jin.

Synopsis

Gong Ah Jung, a level 5 Ministry of Culture official, gets entangled in a web of lies when she mistakenly lies that she’s married to Hyun Ki Moon, an nobel hotel manager from an affluent family. Their relationship is further complicated when Ki Moon’s ex-fiancée and a close friend of his brother’s, Oh Yoon Joo, reappears in his life.
